From Kiev to St. Petersburg - Peter Orloff & the Black Sea Cossacks come

In 2023 and 2024, festive concerts of the famous Black Sea Cossack Choir will take place again. The concert is under the overall musical direction and personal participation of Peter Orloff, who once founded his legendary career in the Black Sea Cossack Choir as the youngest singer of all Cossack choirs in the world - at that time together with Ivan Rebroff - and who is celebrating his 65th stage anniversary this year and has been leading his ensemble from success to success for 30 years now.

Under his overall musical direction, highly decorated Ukrainian and Russian singers of absolute world class traditionally perform in concert in warm harmony - breathtaking tenors, abysmal basses and, as a special highlight, an absolute world rarity, a male soprano from the Kiev Opera and "Honored Artist of Ukraine". His participation and the line-up of the Black Sea Kosken Choir is also a signal of hope, as is Daniel Barenboim's orchestra, consisting of Israelis and Palestinians.

The little boy with the already sensational voice became the "Titan" Peter Orloff, the "King of the Hit Parades" with 16 chart entries of his own and numerous gold records - including as singer for "Ein Mädchen für immer" and "Die Königin der Nacht", as lyricist for Bernd Clüver's "Junge mit der Mundharmonika" and as composer for "Du", Peter Maffay's biggest hit to date, which is now also sung by Helene Fischer, who, like Peter Orloff's musicians, comes from Russia. Andrea Berg and the Amigos sing the million-selling hit "Der kleine Prinz", composed, written and produced by Peter Orloff. In addition to Peter Maffay and Bernd Clüver, Peter Orloff also produced Heino, Freddy Quinn and Julio Iglesias. In the ZDF hit parade, he has the second best re-placement rate of all time of all artists with the most appearances, after Chris Roberts.

All of Germany was excited when Peter Orloff reached the finals of the 2019 jungle camp and became the jungle prince and audience favorite. His fearless balancing act at dizzying heights and his loving interaction with snakes and crocodiles were unforgettable. "Better than Crocodile Dundee" and "Chuck Norris of the jungle" was the headline in the press and for Germany's largest daily newspaper, Peter Orloff is the "jungle king of hearts."

When he returned, his top hit from 1971, "Ein Mädchen für immer" (A Girl Forever), was already at number 7 in the German iTunes hit charts in the 2019 version. He used his fee to donate a school for Indian children in Argentina - at the time his second school for the "Fly & Help" foundation, of which he is a board member and ambassador. There are now eight schools, thanks in part to "RTL - Wir helfen Kindern"!

On June 19, 2019, his CD "Teure Heimat" with the Schwarzmeer Kosaken Chor stormed to second place in the official German sales charts / folk music behind Santiano and ahead of Andreas Gabalier - 52 years after his first top placement in the sales charts, also at second place, back then behind Peter Alexander and ahead of - the Beatles! On December 4, he even made it into the absolute premier league, the top 100 of the album charts. And into the top 20 in the annual evaluation of folk music. He is the most googled man of the year! And the oldest "Ninja Warrior" participant of all time worldwide! On January 12, 2020, he received two of the coveted SMAGO Awards, the German "Schlager Oscars", so to speak. And in 2020 he made it into the top 100 album charts again. He is again a regular guest on numerous TV shows. At 75, Peter Orloff is once again at the peak of his career. One of his personal favorite songs is therefore also his life motto: "Forever Young"! With his song "Mein Freund Winnetou" he achieved almost a million views in a short time in 2022!

Thanks to its almost unique line-up, the Black Sea Cossack Choir is able to perform a truly exceptional program with works such as the "Prisoners' Chorus", "Swan Lake", "My Songs Are Quietly Pleading" or - the parade solo of all great tenors - "Nessun dorma". The heart of the concert is of course the most beautiful treasures from the rich treasure of Russian and Ukrainian music literature such as the famous "Evening Bells", "The Twelve Robbers", "I Worship the Power of Love", "Stenka Razin", "The Lonely Bell", "Kalinka" and - by popular request - "The Volga Song".

It is a musical journey from Kiev to St. Petersburg with romances, stories and ballads of overwhelming expressiveness, deep melancholy and exuberant temperament.
