Nach dem Sturz des Dunklen Imperiums haben sich die verbliebenen Kriegsherren in der Galaxis zerstreut. Während die aus den Trümmern errichtete Neue Republik versucht, die hart erkämpften Errungenschaften der erfolgreichen Rebellion zu bewahren, erhält sie Unterstützung von Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal), einem erfahrenen mandalorianischen Kopfgeldjäger, und seinem jungen Schützling Grogu. Die beiden bekommen den Auftrag Rotta den Hutten (Jeremy Allan White) zu retten, während die paar versprengten Warlords des zerschlagenen Imperiums weiterhin versuchen, an der neuen Ordnung zu rütteln und selbst wieder zu Macht zu gelangen.
