Mark Daniel (* 1967) grew up in Witten, Westphalia, and studied theater, film and television studies in Bochum. Since the early 1990s he has worked for the Leipziger Volkszeitung and is the author of cabaret and theater texts, radio plays and books. In 2015 the satire "Schnauze Ossi" (with Jürgen Kleindienst, Gütersloher Verlag) was published, in 2018 the collection of reports "Rock'n'Roll 4evermore" (Eulenspiegel Verlag). In 2021 the novel "Der weiße Song" (Edition Winterwork) followed, as did "Witten - ker, wat schön!", a literary hymn to his hometown, in 2023.

Gunter "Knut" Schwarz (* 1974) was born in Leipzig, is a musician, songwriter, guitarist, singer and author himself ("Music for every occasion"). As the frontman of Karo Nero or the unmissable sidekick of the Maria König Kapelle and SCHüller, he has made a name for himself in the Leipzig music scene. Since 2020 he has regularly accompanied Mark Daniel at his readings, playing hits and his own songs in surprising acoustic versions.
