2011 stand das Detroiter Post-Punk-Quartett Protomartyr aus Detroit das erste Mal gemeinsam im Tonstudio. Das Ergebnis war „No Passion All Technique“ und hat nur vier Stunden und eine Kiste Bier gekostet. Intellektuell, herzzerreißend, lustig – eine zufällige Tour de Force, die auch zu einem unwahrscheinlichen Sammlerstück geworden ist. Der Joker der Gruppe ist der Sänger und Texter Joe Casey, der frei assoziierende Poesie über aufwühlende Musik spannt.
