A song passage from the STATUS QUO classic “Let's Rock” from 2011, which perfectly describes what German fans can look forward to in 2024. Because: Organizer RBK Fusion GmbH (Berlin) today announced 14 big open air shows by the British boogie legends for the coming summer!
“Rocking 'round the world like a band on the run. I like it, I like it, yeah we’re gonna have fun.”
14 shows, where of course the QUO mega-classic “Rockin' All Over The World” cannot and will not be missing - just like “Whatever You want”, “In The Army Now”, the long-running opener “Caroline” and , and and...!
Guitarist and band founder Francis Rossi promises: “The fans will hear lots of our hits from six decades of STATUS QUO. Unfortunately, we can't play all of them because then the concert would last over five hours." With 100 hit singles in 60 years of band history, that's easy to understand.
“We're gonna take it to the limit, take it to the top. Pull out all the stops and give it all we’ve got.”
The fact is: Rossi & Co. will go full throttle as usual, after all STATUS QUO with their energetic live show are not for nothing and are still one of the best live bands of all time!
“Getting down, down, down, getting into the groove. Yeah, all you gotta do is shake your body and move.”
“Down Down”, the English team's first number 1 hit, is of course an integral part of the QUO program and never leaves any fan quiet. Whether “Let's Rock” will also be on the STATUS QUO set list in 2024 remains a secret. Either way: The song is perfect as the motto for the boogie kings' summer open air shows! As the chorus says so wonderfully aptly:
“Let's rock, let's rock it. Let's rock 'n' roll all night long!”
This is also guaranteed by the special guests Spider Murphy Gang, who have proven themselves several times to be the “perfect match” in a duo with STATUS QUO in Germany and are on the (pre-)program for seven dates on the ’24 summer tour. Canned Heat can be experienced in a package with headliner STATUS QUO on July 8th, 2024 in Munich.
