Joseph Poole aka „The Duke of Spook“ ist zweifellos eine der markantesten Stimmen des Horror-Rocks. Parallel zum Mitwirken bei den Murderdolls startete 2005 seine Solokarriere als WEDNESDAY 13. Hierbei wurde er von zahlreichen namhaften Musikern unterstützt, Kollaborationen mit Alice Cooper und Lacuna Coil inklusive. Die Live-Auftritte von WEDNESDAY 13 entwickelten sich über die Jahre von einfachen Horror-Punk-Shows zu aufwendigen, theatralischen Produktionen. Und zeichnen sich durch zahlreiche Kostümwechsel, raffinierte Lichtdesigns, Videoprojektionen und diverse Spezialeffekte aus, suggerieren die Atmosphäre eines Horrorfilms. Dabei beschränkt sich sein Einfluss nicht nur auf die Musik, sondern umfasst auch das komplette Design, die visuelle Ästhetik an sich. Seine Kunstwerke und Merchandise-Artikel vereinen oft das Konzept von Vintage-Horrorfilmplakaten mit seiner eigenen künstlerischen Vision und schaffen so einzigartige Sammlerstücke, die sowohl Musik- als auch Horrorfans begeistern.
