Information about the event

For Northern Ireland-born rockers Therapy?, resilience and survival have become their watchwords. Over the three decades that have seen the musical, cultural and social landscape around them change, the trio have built and maintained a strong relationship with a loyal fanbase around the world by always keeping the focus on the music and forging a hard-won reputation as visionary auteurs with a strong live set. Never one to rest on their laurels, Therapy? are celebrating the 30th anniversary of their platinum-selling album TROUBLEGUM with a series of concerts across Australia, Ireland, the UK and mainland Europe. As the band's Andy Cairns recently said: To celebrate the 30th anniversary of our album Troublegum, we will be touring this year playing a set based on 1994's Therapy?, featuring songs from that era alongside the TG songs. Back in 1989 when we started out in County Antrim we could never have predicted that this beast of punk metal noise would become such a groundbreaking album. Come along and celebrate with us as we play banger after banger! Troublegum was released on 7th February 1994 by A&M Records and quickly established itself as one of the 'Albums of the Year', winning Album of the Year in Kerrang, hitting number 2 in Metal Hammer and reaching high positions in the NME and Melody Maker charts at the end of the year. The album was nominated for the Mercury Prize and also led to 2 MTV nominations that year. It spawned 5 hit singles and 5 appearances on TOTP! in the UK.
