In his search for his musical identity, Peter Stanovsky took more than one detour: from jazz singer to the solo project KAIND and from songwriter for others to Stanovsky, who has finally found himself under his own name and with songs such as "Arcachon", "Boombox" and "Trockener Tabak". Fortunately, one must say, because with his extraordinary music, in which he combines piano chords with electronic sounds and poetic lyrics, the multi-talented artist is one of the most exciting newcomers in German-language pop music.

Peter Stanovsky is anything but new to the music scene. At the beginning of his career, the singer proved himself as a member of the Federal Jazz Orchestra. Later, he launched the solo project KAIND. With this, he achieved notable success, for example in the form of the single "Leuchtturm", but ultimately lacked the musical authenticity that Stanovsky strives for. So he soon said goodbye to the "fictional character". But because songwriting is in his blood, he continued to compose and write lyrics diligently, including for Glasperlenspiel, LEA and Prinz Pi. Like a chameleon, he switches between styles and moods in order to adapt to the respective performer. Over time, however, the desire to write his own music grew, without a pseudonym, without a role, without compromises.

Stanovsky finds himself

The result can be heard on the EPs "Arcachon" and "Trockener Tabak" released in 2021. In songs like "Jogginghose", "Dünnes Eis" or "Boombox", Stanovsky implements his personal version of German pop music. It is as deep as it is catchy, it hits the heart and the mind, goes into the ear and, thanks to electronic beats, also into the legs. With his lyrical texts, he draws pictures that take shape in the mind's eye as you listen. In doing so, he demonstrates both a unique feeling for lines that reach and move the listener and a knack for memorable melodies.

Catchy and profound – not every songwriter can combine these two qualities. Stanovsky can! After several years of experience as a singer and musician, after 200 to 300 songs for other artists, the singer-songwriter is at his best under the banner of his own name. And it's a joy to listen to him do it!
