Das Trio Wildes Holz hat sich dadurch einen Namen gemacht, dass es Rock- und Popmusik endlich auf “richtigen” Instrumenten spielt. Und das sind natürlich Holz-Instrumente! Im Besonderen die gemeine Blockflöte, die dieser Musik eine ganz besondere Note verleiht. Doch was schon mit Rock-Klassikern geht, das sollte doch wohl erst recht mit den “echten” Klassikern möglich sein! So nimmt sich Wildes Holz Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Vivaldi, Brahms oder Telemann an - und spielt deren Musik, als wären es Rock- Klassiker. Sind es ja auch irgendwie. Und die Behandlung mit holzigem Humor, Virtuosität und einer guten Prise Selbstironie tut diesen Werken ganz außerordentlich gut! Nicht umsonst spielt das Trio schon seit 25 Jahren auf den kleinen und großen Bühnen Deutschlands und ist somit selbst schon zum Klassiker geworden.
