Urban Priol enthusiastically dissects the sociopolitical events of the past year, makes crazy connections and uncovers astonishing backgrounds. The machinations of the powerful and rich are exposed and many a double-tongued hypocrisy is revealed - hardly a relevant topic of the past year remains untouched.
The rapid, powerful eloquence is underlined by his pronounced acting and parody skills, as Urban Priol has indulged in the joy of theater since his student days (the carefully arranged folder with the working title “Master’s thesis,” on the other hand, remained empty throughout his life except for one index).
The demands on the audience are not small in this program: even if he allows himself the odd pun (“I don’t play for the Föjetong!”), it doesn’t hurt to be politically up to date so as not to miss the often subtle allusions of the mocker.
But the cabaret artist himself, who is bursting with brilliant ideas and punch lines and always has something to say about current topics, is faced with a huge task: the agile whirlwind finds himself in a constant race against time, which seems to him to be very limited in a single evening. A year in one evening, yes, damn it!
Priol's "TILT! The 2025 Review" - crazy, funny, merciless. And so the audience leaves the program after two and a half hours, well entertained and with the feeling that time has passed as quickly as the past year - much too quickly. Here's to the next one!
